Tamarack Ridge Farms: A Thoughtfully Curated Farm Shop in the Heart of South East Seneca

We’ve got a new member in town and we sure are excited. Tamarack Ridge Farm Store opened this past October, and it is everything you didn’t know you needed wrapped up in the sweetest little shop.

Think predominantly New York State handcrafted goods with sustainability woven throughout. Cutting boards, simmer pot kits, salves and tinctures, hats, earrings, and even NA rosé. Yes, NA rosé. We’ll allow it. The shelves are filled with thoughtfully chosen pieces and highlight local favorites like Roro Soap and Castaway Jewelry.

And then there are the Tamarack originals. Some of the most special pieces are branded with tree symbols that represent the farm, all created by Ellen, her daughter, and her son. It is truly a family business dedicated to creating and growing. You can feel it the minute you walk in. It is warm, grounded, and just plain good.

Ellen Lampman has deep roots in hospitality here on Seneca Lake, including years at Atwater Vineyards. She is a creative at heart with a master’s degree in education and once planned to teach art. Life had a slightly different plan, and lucky for us, Tamarack Ridge Farm is the result.

Her daughter Mason, fresh from Oregon State University with a degree in agriculture, is her business partner and creative force. Mason knits the dreamiest cowl neck scarves. Her son Teagan handcrafts beautiful oak cutting boards. Ellen’s artwork is woven throughout the shop, alongside her botanical creations. It is truly a collaborative effort, and you can feel the soul behind it.

They even host coffee, tea, and baked goods every Saturday and Sunday, making it the perfect little detour on your weekend adventure.

This shop has been a dream of Ellen’s for years, and you can tell. Every item feels intentional. It is the kind of place that lights you up a little. And we are pretty happy to have a space like that right here in our backyard.
